This sucks for June.

But the Sept. weekend of TPI and DG will be ama-zazing.

Honestly, I might still go to the June dates. Cabana, Sweeney, Necro and Jacobs for 2 days in a row? This seems like a good business decision for IWA. Normally I don't care about their shows.

Yeah, I also wouldn't have minded going to those shows... they aren't totally horrible.

So there is a new lineup (... of guys who can cancel in three months).

You Texas assholes have no reason why you can't come up here for this trio of shows.

Fuck driving out to Joliet for night 2. I'll be going to the AAW show that night. Also, Raw is in Chicagoland that Monday. I'm not sure how many of the 4 days I can take, cause for me, it would be 4 promotions in 4 days with AAW being the cheapest of the bunch.

Quote:AAW is proud to announce the addition of Bryan Danielson to our September 5th event.

I wonder if this is going to mean that I'll have to actually buy tickets ahead of time.

DGUSA: Chicago

Danielson vs. Doi
Shingo vs. Richards

Also building for Quack/Jigsaw vs Yamato/Akuma, unless they save that for Philly.

Basically there is the TPI on Sept 4/5(Joliet), AAW on the 5th(Berwyn), DGUSA on the 6th(Congress Theater) and Raw on the 7th(Allstate Arena).

Right now the only thing I'm guaranteed going to is AAW, so that really only leaves a decision to go to either TPI night 1 or DGUSA, which I'm leaning towards more of DGUSA due to it being their Chicago debut. This all is happening during my broke season (the summertime), so I can't hit everything up. Raw is pretty much out of the running though.

Word, it's a nice looking weekend.

I am looking at TPI two nights and DGUSA... and whole lotta eating.

Also maybe some college football watching on Saturday morning, either a roadie to a game or just a sports bar in Chicago. I think the Sox are also in town, and we always debate doing that but a) DG came up and b) I'd rather do the Cubbies if I had to stay some extra time that I couldn't afford to stay.

Just the two matches I mentioned above and the assumption of the 3rd, unless they push that feud back tp Philly

Well that happened at the first show, right? So be sure to order that PPV!

I'm really debating whether I want GA or the gimmicks where you get to see the opening match.

On the site, it says only 1st-3rd row get in for the FRAY! match, but it also says it under 4th row, which is your only option for seeing that match if that is true, cause they sold out of 2nd/3rd row earlier today. I'll be pulling GA for the show. I can skip the FRAY! match if it means I have to pay an extra $10 for it and a guaranteed ok seat.

Also, because I'll be going to DGUSA, I'm opting out of going to TPI night 1. So it's just AAW and DGUSA for me.

If there were enough guys in FRAY for me to care, I'd do it, but there isn't, so I don't.

I wonder how much time there is between FRAY and letting GA in. Like... I hope they don't just plow right into the next match before everyone gets in.

And on the TPI note, a) based on the announced matches, I hope Jacobs fucking advances and b) the Play In is a good idea, but why is Callihan in it? He made it to the finals last year. There are a few guys with "spots" that I'd much rather see not in there.

I'm actually kinda worried about the AAW show. It's turning into less of an AAW show and more of a "well lets book the DGUSA guys who can come in a day early". I mean, most likely Jacobs, Tyler Black, Ego and Cabana won't be on the AAW show. Or maybe I'm just worried about nothing and I'll get retarded drunk and yell obscene things at the wrestlers as per usual.

Btw, if they don't do Ego vs El Generico as a TPI match, that's totally lost potential. They could pull off a couple funny bits, especially since they have the same music/gimmick. Like have them both run out and circle the ring when the music hits and then run into each other. Comedy gold right there as they both look to the announcer to see whose turn it actually was to come out.

Derek, better yet... they both lose and either face off or TEAM UP on night two. Althought I'd like to see Generico take Claudio's "spot" as the guy whp has 4 awesome matches and goes through to the finals.

Matches for DGUSA:

Quote:Non-Title - Japanese Ace vs. American Ace
Open The Dream Gate Champion Naruki Doi vs. Bryan Danielson

Non-Title - Tag Team Challenge
Open The Twin Gate Champions Genki Horiguchi & Ryo Saito vs. The Young Bucks

Did You Ever Think This Match Would Happen?
Brian Kendrick vs. CIMA

Rematch Of "Open The Historic Gate"
Dragon Kid vs. Masato Yoshino
(watch this video to see why this match is happening)

Grudge Match
Mike Quackenbush & Jigsaw vs. YAMATO & Gran Akuma
(watch this video to see why this match is happening)

Battle Of The Hard-Hitters
Davey Richards vs. Shingo

And the FRAY! participants:

Quote:-NEW Arik Cannon (punker brings lots of "snap" and has devastating brainbuster)
-NEW Flip Kendrick (insane high-flyer has recovered from broken jaw)
-Hallowicked (top CHIKARA star)
-Johnny Gargano (great showing in Philly 7/25 FRAY!)
-Louis Lyndon (impressed Philly crowd during 7/25 FRAY!)
-Mustafa Ali (growing reputation on indies)
-Shiima Xion (fresh of a tour of AAA in Mexico)
-The Great Malaki (known to Congress Theater crowd for his ring entrance)

I won't be spending the extra $10 cause I will have seen half of the people involved in the FRAY! the nite before.

/burst bubble

His last 3 matches in AAW were ended like this: Cannon yells out finisher, gets countered, counters the next move, does finisher, wins.

Cannon still rules. I wish he was at TPI. Fucking IWA being stupid.

Anyways, out DG tickets are ordered. Booom! I wanted to get a shirt too but I can just get that @ the show. I'm sure Chris will be getting the towel or something else weird.

From the IWA Mid-South Wrestling message board:

We regret to inform all of our wonderful fans that after 13 years of doing business, IWA Mid-South will cease operations after the Kings of the Crimson Mask show on Friday night August 28th.

We simply do not have the money in order to continue doing business. It breaks our hearts that this day has finally come but we just can't hang on any longer.

If you have placed any ticket orders for TPI or the Double Death/Anniversary show, please print out a copy of your paypal receipt and mail it to the PO Box in Morris.

IWA Mid-South
PO Box 647
Morris, IL 60450

We do not have internet access anymore so please do not send emails as we do not know when we would be able to view them. The fastest way to get refunds would be to send the copy of the receipts from paypal to the PO Box so we can have them in hand to know who is owed what.

If you purchased TPI tickets and have the tickets in your possession, please send a picture of the tickets since we do not have records of who actually received their tickets.

Kings of the Crimson Mask in Bellevue will be our final show. Necro Butcher will not be on the show as we can not afford to bring him in for the event anymore.

The new main event for the final show will be Ian Rotten vs. Mad Man Pondo.

IWA is going to go out like they came in in a rematch from the first ever main event.

I would like to thank everyone that has worked for IWA in the past, all the fans that have supported the product and all the people that have helped out along the way with security, selling merchandise, concessions, etc.

It has been a tremendous ride these last 13 years and it is heartbreaking to see it all come to an end like this.

I would type up more but it is too painful at this time.

Thank you.
Ian, Patti, Mickie, Jim, John Calvin
