Not that I or anyone will really care. But TNA's 3 year quest to sign the last big free agent has finally come to an end. RVD Will debut Monday. Wonder if his 15 year old moveset was a part of the deal?

That could just be Hogan trying to make things up. If RVD does come in, then TNA will fucking reign supremacy.

Edit----------

It's been confirmed goddammit Hogan keep your fucking mouth shut.

TNA will never reign supreme. That's like saying the 2nd string Bulls team from 97 could beat the starters.

RVD back on TV is nothing but good for wrestling fans. I'm just curious as to why he's going for TNA, I presume it's the easier work schedule and local accessibility considering I think he had to leave WWE due to family health problems. Oh well, I do DVR Impact, I'll have to see if he still has it. It's not going to take TNA to the top, but it'll help their program become more watchable... for the first few weeks before he ends up buried in the undercard.

Matt's hung on pretty well over all these years. It's like he's just good enough to scrape by.

@Brendoh - He deserves more TBH but I always have had the feeling that Matt is a "Don't rock the boat" kind of guy and probably just keeps his head down and does the J O B like he's told to and never asks for more.

RVD owns ANYONE on the TNA roster. Period. Save your AJ Styles and Angle arguments.

Unless AJ is a heel, he is boring. He lacks something(not in the ring), I just can't put my finger on it. This may sound stupid, but I think his southern accent hurts his promos. He does the Flair walk to the ring perfect though, but that's only going to get him so far.

Kurt is the HHH of TNA, not to mention he is hurt every other hour of Impact tapings. That doesn't mean the guy can't wrestle, it just means his time on the top has run out, and he is a risk in the ring.

Anyone else you can name either sucks, or just isn't big enough name to be relevant. Hogan doesn't matter and neither does Flair. Unless they are in an agent or "character only" role, no one cares about them. I don't want to see those two wrestle. Their matches in 94 sucked. What makes you think they are going to be better matches 15 years later? That match will LOSE viewers.

RVD v Styles for the title. RVD wins the strap. MOTY.

Some notable people I would like to see RVD wrestle:
-Nigel
-Joe
-Daniels
-Jeff Hardy
-MCMG
-E. Burke
-Foley (still think Foley has a good match or two per year in him)
-Mr. Anderson

If this was any year between 1997 and 2002 I agree completely with you. But RVD hasn't worked consistently in over three years, and when he has worked recently it hasn't been very pretty(Though I haven't seen his PWG appearance and I heard good things). I do agree AJ is a weak promo and that you hit the nail on the head about the southern accent, but I wouldn't say he is ever boring... Lame maybe, but he is one of those guys that makes you forget everything he said with his in ring work. Him and RVD in like 03 would have been fantastic... but I just don't see this run RVD is about to have as being very memorable.

No one would love it more than me if RVD lost weight, acted like he cared and began to innovate like he once did. I just don't see that happening. I half expect to see him counting his money in the corner during introductions.

I see him bringing a lot to the table. Let's not forget that we're talking about TNA, the king of gimmick matches. Put a ladder or a chair in the ring with RVD, and it's usually magic. Also, TNA has that southern wrestling fan draw, much like WCW did, and with the exception of his WWF run, he hasn't been in the south that much. So to the non-WWF/east coast wrestling fan, and to the younger fan, RVD will be something new for them. RVD brings unique moves, personality, and hard work that will get him over automatically. In the end, how they use him will determine wheather or not if he is a bust or a win.

Matt does deserve more than a WWEcw world title reign ... But like you guys say he just does what hes told it seems and ill bet when they run out of people to release he will be "wished well in his future endeavors"

At his stage of his life/career hes gotta do whats gonna make him happy and not so much whats going to pay him more ...
Go to TNA and get a lighter schedule and maybe a main event push, OR go back to WWE, works a much busier schedule, Make a shit load of money, And job to HHH and company every week ... Yeah i'd roll the dice and go with the lighter schedule and the unknown but thats just me ... Time will tell if he made the right decision ...

Oh, you mean like when they gave him the World Title and built a new show practically all around him and he threw it away a few weeks later by being pulled over by the cops for drug possession?

I'm not trying to sound like a fanboy, there are plenty of guys the WWE hasn't given their due over the years like Lance Storm or Mike Awesome, but Rob Van Dam screwed himself out of greater opportunities in the WWE. Bret may not have screwed Bret, but RVD screwed RVD.

Hahahahahaha THATS RIGHT !!!! My bad that takes away all credibility of that Statement ... I remember being pissed that he fucked himself over after he finally got what he deserved ...
I also agree Storm shouldve been given a bigger push but hey lets face it we could sit here all night and day and name people that shouldve been pushed but were under utilized ...

RVD screwed RVD

I also sort of stand strong that RVD screwed ECW at the same token. Because yes Vince wasn't going to let it be like "old" ECW. But that's when he really pulled the plug on the ECW Extremeists or Originals.

Yes, that was a very tumultuous few weeks for me as an old ECW fan. I was at One Night Stand II when RVD won the belt in NYC and ECW was born again, where I was going nuts. Then I was there a few weeks later in Philly when they had RVD drop the two belts to Edge and Big Show and watched ECW die. A sad "ending" to what could have been a great main event career for Rob Van Dam, I know he was in WWE for quite a few more months afterwards but his career never recovered.

His career never recovered, because people in the back didn't want to see him recover. Let's not forget that Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, and Edge ALL have strikes for drugs, not to mention the drugs they tested positive for carry a greater punishment than RVD's pot possession charge. It'sd not like RVD didn't work as hard or do anything else different after he dropped the belts to not get a push again..

I'd agree with Orton and Edge, but not with Hardy. He kinda lost his job completely due to drugs, RVD just lost his spot. Rob Van Dam didn't leave the company on bad terms, which is evidenced by the few times they have brought him back, like in the Royal Rumble one year and to be on the Raw Anniversary special, so I always hope he'll be back some day but the longer it goes the more I lose faith.

You also have to remember RVD almost killed Triple H by crushing his larynx. So whether you like or hate Triple H, he is a top guy, and if you hurt him, it's curtains for you.

He hurt HHH at Survivor Series 02 in the first Elimination Chamber match. I doubt that had anything to do with something that happened in 06, but I could be wrong...
